The Start of My Dream Course
It was last of my stay in high school I dreamed of becoming a Civil Engineer. I was unfortunate that there was a so-called National College Entrance Examination NCEE before which is needed to take before passing through high school and getting the course I dreamed of in college. But I got almost 3 steps away from the required grade for the Civil Engineering course, my grade was 67 percent. Unfortunately, I was not able to start with my dreamed course at that time because my grade was fell short to allow to take the Civil Engineering Course.
My Come Back to School to Get my Dream Career
After almost six years of stoppage from school, I had a chance to come back and had an opportunity to begin my journey in Civil Engineering. I was lucky because NCEE was changed and removed that kind of hindrance (getting 70% grade in NCEE before you can pursue Civil Engineering). I was happy to embark again to school and pursue my dream. I remember the dean of the college asked me "Are you willing to pursue despite your age?" I said, "Sir I am determined to get my dreams."
The Success
I was really determined to get the apex of success. I've tried hard enough to be there, I had few hours of sleep eveyday. I work hard on my studies. The only place I knew in those times is school and home school and home that's it. And all had paid off I graduated without honor but for me, it was a great honor for myself because I was a working student, working at afternoon to evening and school at morning.
After graduation, I enrolled in a review center for me to be prepared for the licensure exam to be given by our government. In order for the one to be called as "Civil Engineer," he needs to pass the exam. In 6 months of reviews, same principle I used, just Home and School nothing else. Then the exam was pushed through, and after the long wait for the Board Exam result. The longest time ever that the result came out it was 7 days long but it was commonly after 3 days.
It was really thrilling because everybody's waiting then my classmate called me I was a little bit nervous because I asked myself why my classmate called me. Then I heard the loud voice, I was thrilled "Mades... You passed!!!" My happiness and contentment that time was unexplainable. It was a "SUCCESS."
